8, Jamaica's first real boy band, was formed in May 2017 by high school friends with a desire to change the face of Jamaican music locally and internationally.

The official music video of their first single, School Boy Anthem, was released in March 2018 and immediately went trending on YouTube, getting major props on social media from prominent Jamaican artistes and social media personalities.

Since then, they've dropped a few unofficial releases on Youtube, namely, Mama Song, a smooth, R&B, semi-acoustic ballad, and a pop-dancehall track, called Do Over.  Their first single for 2020 is Brand New Feeling, and they're currently recording their first EP for release later this year.

8 is a favourite to entertain for various private and corporate entities, and they are repeat crowd pleasers at Chris Blackwell's Golden Eye property in St. Mary, Jamaica; most recently at Golden Eye's exclusive 2019 New Year's Eve party, as the only featured performers ringing in 2020.  They've also shared the stage with Jamaican music industry greats such as Ernie Smith, Toots Hibbert, and the legendary band, Chalice.

Resisting being categorized and 'boxed in', their sound is unique, and transcends all genres; with haunting melodies that expound to resonating hooks that keep you rockin', head bopping' and singing along.  Their voices are distinct, crisp, clean; somewhat reminiscent of old school, yet the package is a vibrant, new and refreshing vibe, which is innately young.

If you want to hear Dimetri, Matthew, Jhada, Adrian, Moses and George...Make it a D8 with 8.
